Dannielle Hokanson, Chair
Dannielle joined the board of directors in 2016 to help strengthen K4C's programs and community outreach efforts. Dannielle is passionate about both youth and the environment.
Dannielle works at BidPal, a company created with a mission to help nonprofits acquire new donors, communicate their messages, engage their donors, and retain those donors. Dannielle lives in Saint Paul and in her spare time loves to check out local parks and recreation areas.
Michael Kochevar, Secretary
Michael works as an investment professional at Norwest Equity Partners (NEP) where he is involved with evaluating new investment opportunities and helping companies currently in the NEP portfolio. He is active with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Minneapolis and has prior volunteer experience with the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters (WLCV), New York Needs You, and Solid Ground.
Michael grew up in Wisconsin and the Twin Cities before graduating from Georgetown University. In his spare time, Michael enjoys fishing & hunting, reading, golfing, and spending time outdoors. He is an avid Packers fan and seldom turns down the chance to go to any college or pro sports event. Michael is passionate about conservation and excited by the impact K4C can have helping people live more sustainably while reducing their energy costs.
Andy Grewell, Treasurer
Andy joined the board of directors in 2015 to help strengthen partnerships among community-based organizations working on environmental impact issues. Andy believes that youth and underserved populations will need to be leaders in conservation areas for any meaningful change to occur.
Andy has a background in service-learning, public policy, grantmaking, planning, and nonprofit governance. He has served in AmeriCorps, worked in local nonprofits, and most recently worked in Minnesota’s Energy Office on low-income assistance programs. Andy currently works in Minnesota’s Department of Human Services. Andy lives in Minneapolis with his family and likes to spend as much time outside as possible.
Kelly joined the board of directors in 2017, connecting her passions for service learning and the environment. As a teacher, she understands the value of empowering youth to create meaningful changes in their community. Kelly knows that young people learn best when they actively demonstrate their leadership skills in acts of service.
Kelly currently designs curriculum at the MPCC (Minnesota Partnership for Collaborative Curriculum), an organization that supports the creation of open digital curriculum for multiple school districts throughout Minnesota. Kelly taught at a 6-12 school in Minneapolis called Heritage Academy for the past eight years. The school is comprised mostly of students that have an East-African background. Through this experience she learned much about the Somali community and has a deep passion for working with immigrant youth.
Brent Muller is a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor at The Wealth Enhancement Group. The Wealth Enhancement Group is a Minnesota based independent financial services firm. Specializing in values-driven planning and retirement income planning, Brent takes pride in his ability to listen and help clients pursue their life goals through comprehensive financial planning.
A St. Paul, Minnesota native, Brent attended the University of Minnesota and is a U.S. Army Veteran. He completed his Certified Financial Planner coursework through Boston University in 2013 and received the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation from The American College of Financial Services. Brent is a winner of the 2015 “FIVE STAR Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager” as noted in Mpls. St.Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business magazine.
Brent and his wife Angela live in St. Paul with their three children: Owen, Nathan and Josephine. Brent and Angela love to travel with (and without) the kids. The family also enjoys camping,
Jamie Paz joined the board of directors in 2016 after spending the past few years in Europe with her family. Jamie is passionate about youth and creating opportunities for disadvantaged children both in our local community and beyond. Jamie is a partner at Foley & Mansfield in Minneapolis where she concentrates on complex litigation. Jamie and her husband live in the west metro with their two (soon to be three!) young children.
